UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, RIVERSIDE
DEPARTMENT OF CELL BIOLOGY & NEUROSCIENCE

INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM

International Scholars Program is an 8-week laboratory rotation.  It is initially established for professional (e.g., medical students) or undergraduate students who would like to do summer research in the biological sciences laboratories (please see participating faculty list).  This program is sponsored by:

·    Dean’s Office, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
·    Dean’s Office, Graduate Division
·    Office of the Vice Chancellor and Dean UCR Extension

Visitors get paid lodging and food, and they pay for they own trips to/from Riverside.  We also arrange for several trips around Southern California that are organized and sponsored though International Education Programs.  These are pretty nice trips, like Joshua National Tree Park, Disneyland, etc.

Candidates have to speak English well as demonstrated through the courses and a phone interview.  Each lab can host only one student, and we ask students to list top 3 faculty choices for matching procedure.  If you are interested in participation, please have:

 ·    CV (or resume)
·    GPA (grade point average)
·    The list of courses that you have completed together with their respective grades
·    Laboratory/Research/Scientific Experience

sent to Vladimir Parpura.
